My favourite dish is the smoothie bowl! Whenever I hear of a smoothie bowl, I have intense feelings about it.
I thought banana was the king, and the hero of the dish, giving it perfect consistency, mild sweetness and a lovely taste. Combining with milk/yoghurt, nuts, other fruits and cocoa brilliantly but then going into the background not showing its presence and humbly letting the popular cocoa come to the limelight. I loved this blend and thought this was the best flavour. But boy was I wrong!
In Bali, finding smoothie bowl in the menu made me want to order it instantaneously and so I did. Little did I know what I was signing up for. Enter the DRAGON fruit smoothie bowl. With its chataak (blingy) magenta colour it captured & trapped me, and I could not look away. It was love at first sight and I wanted a bite of her.
Indian dragon fruit is meh and you can ignore it easily once it comes out of its dress, but this Bali dragon was too sexy, smooth, creamy and this beautiful electric magenta colour can make you do things. It had some nutty and other fruity makeup on which made it prettier and even more seductive!
The first bite was electric, cold, tangy, sweet and like a warm cozy hug after a few seconds, loving me from the inside. It was like a massage from the inside :D. And I was all over her savoring every bite till she left me and vanished away :P
I wondered what the dragon fruit smoothie would look like if it were a girl, and I thought I might ask my good friend midjourney to take these thoughts of mine and make something out of it. Posting that as well :)
